Bellagio's Fountains
Among the free shows in Las Vegas, the Bellagio fountains are among the most famous free thing to do. It’s a magnificent spectacle of water, sound and light. It takes place every 30 minutes from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and from noon to 8 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. From 8 p.m. to midnight, the show takes place every 15 minutes. Note that the musical theme and choreography changes with each performance.
Bellagio Botanical Garden
When visiting the Strip hotels, the Bellagio conservatory and botanical garden is a must. Of course, the visit is done quickly but you will be amazed. Superb floral arrangements and sculptures that change with each season as well as a special exhibition for Chinese New Year, with 5 different gardens to discover throughout the year. Also note that the gardens are never repeated, so if you are a Las Vegas regular, don't hesitate to return to enjoy a new garden. A free thing to do you'll remember
Bellagio Chocolate Fountain
Other free thing to do in the Bellagio, is the incredible chocolate fountain from the Bellagio patisserie! Designed by Montreal artist Michel Mailhot, this impressive creation is the largest and tallest chocolate fountain in the world. You will discover the fascinating flow of white, milk and dark chocolate, replicating the movement of water cascading from six spouts on the ceiling.
Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian
Located at the Venetian Hotel, The Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian allows you to stroll around Venice for a few moments. You will find numerous shops and restaurants there, but also canals where gondolas move to the singing of gondoliers and a reproduction of St Mark's Square in Venice. If you head towards the Palazzo hotel you will discover a romantic waterfall.
Forum Shops at Caesar Palace
The Forum Shops at Caesar Palace is a gallery based on the theme of ancient Rome where you will discover numerous restaurants and shops. You will be able to see the Atlantis Show, which is an entertaining version of the legendary story of the lost city of Atlantis. With over 400 moving parts in each statue that comes to life. The Atlantis Show runs Thursday to Monday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas Sign
Who has never dreamed of showing a photo of themselves in front of the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign? If this is your case, you will find it quite south of the Strip, not very far from Mandalay Bay (15 min walk) or the Pinball Hall of Fame. You will still have to be patient because it is a very popular site in Las Vegas. Be a star for free!
Flamingo Wildlife Habitat
Other free thing to do is located in the Flamingo hotel, the Flamingo Wildlife habitat is a good way to escape the noisy atmosphere of the Strip for a few moments. There you will discover streams, waterfalls, exotic birds such as Flamingos, turtles and fish. A pleasant time to spend with family.
Shopping at Wynn
Located north of the Strip, The Shops at Wynn will please you with its architecture punctuated by luxury boutiques. In the lobby you will discover a floral garden, whose theme changes regularly. And every evening at nightfall, discover the “Lake of Dreams” show. A multimedia experience that blends colorful puppets, an immersive soundtrack and state-of-the-art sound and lighting to create an unforgettable spectacle on the Wynn's iconic water attraction.
Miracle Mile Shops & Lost City
The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood is a shopping center with more than a mile of premier boutiques, restaurants and entertainment venues in the heart of the famous Las Vegas Strip. There you can see the free show Lost City, broadcast every hour from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The show is based on the elements of Earth: you will see fire and lava illuminating buildings, water rushing down walls, ice freezing on surfaces and flowers and grass growing under the sun. The sounds of thunder, rain and nature help bring the surreal effects to life and transform the stone facades of the V Theater into a living, breathing cityscape.
«Circus Acts» at Circus Circus
Located at the Circus Circus Hotel on the North Strip, Circus Acts brings world-famous circus acts to the Midway Carnival Center Stage for free every day. Performances take place from Monday to Thursday from 1:30 p.m. and from Friday to Sunday from 11:30 a.m. Find the schedule here
Pinball Hall of fame
Located near the sign “The fabulous Welcome Las Vegas”, The Pinball Hall of Fame is a Hall which brings together nearly 700 pinball games, arcades and other games from different eras, many of which are still in operation. Entrance is free, so you can simply go for a walk among the games or try one of these games, from another era, but which will appeal to your children (and parents too). Most work with quarters (25 cents), so for 25 or 50 cents you can play a game. Parking is free.
Coca Cola Store
Whether you're a fan of the brand or not, don't hesitate to enter this 3-level boutique where you'll find items of all kinds, some of which are exclusive. You can also go to the last level and try 16 different international flavors for around $15. Other refreshments are also available. Be careful, there can be a lot of crowds on this floor.
Big Elvis
Located at Harrah’s Hotel on the Strip, Big Elvis takes you on a journey with the King every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at “The Piano Bar”. A guaranteed pleasant moment for fans of the King. If you are a fan, please also note that you can find a statue at the reception of the Westgate Hotel

Viva Vision Light shows
One of the most popular in the free things to do is Viva Vision. Viva Vision is the name of the largest LED screen in the world covering a street. It measures 419m long, 27m wide and hangs over 27m high. It is located in Fremont - Downtown Las Vegas. Every hour from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., in addition to the images that commonly scroll, it broadcasts video clips called “Viva Vision Light Shows” and thus shows the full potential of the screen.Find the schedule here.
Arts District
Do you like Street Art, vintage shops, thrift stores? ….Then a visit to 18b The Las Vegas Arts District is essential. It is located north of the Strip and a few steps from Fremont, comprising 18 blocks (hence its name!). There you will find art galleries, antique stores but also shops selling vintage objects or clothing, restaurants, bars and Street Art.
In addition, the first Friday of each month takes place there the art festival or the First Friday Art Walk.
Hand of Faith
Want to see one of the biggest gold nuggets in the world? It is of course in the USA. You can see it in Fremont, in old Las Vegas. The Hand of Faith Golden Nugget, as it is named, is owned by the Golden Nugget Casino and is currently on display near the casino reception lobby for all to see.
Berlin Wall at Main Street
A hidden gem in the free thing to do! Inside the men's restroom at the Main Street Station Hotel is a huge piece of the Berlin Wall (the wall separating West Germany from East Germany during the Cold War and demolished in 1989). Three urinals are placed on it. It is a 3.00 x 1.60 m gem that is hidden in the hotel with dozens of antiques and curiosities from around the world.
Women can also request to be escorted by security to view this surprising sight.
Million Dollar Display
Reserved for those over 21, the Binion Casino offers you the opportunity to take a free photo of yourself behind a pyramid of 1 million dollars. The photo will be sent to the email address or mobile phone of your choice
FREE THINGS TO DO AROUND THE LAS VEGAS STRIP
Shelby Heritage Center
Established in 2013, the Shelby Heritage Center houses more than 25 Shelby vehicles and tells the story of Carroll Shelby and the company he started in 1962.
You will be able to admire the Aston Martin DBR1/300, which won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1959, or the Ford GT40 MK II which finished second at the 24 of Le Mans 1966 and whose film Le Mans 66 (Ford Vs Ferrari ) with Matt Damon and Christian Bale is inspired.
Mermaid Show
Located in the aquarium at the Silverton Casino reception in south Las Vegas, the Mermaid show takes place every 30 minutes during scheduled times. During this, mermaids come to say hello to the public. It will particularly appeal to young children. Outside of the show, you can observe the wide variety of fish in the aquarium and also discover the adjacent Bass Pro Shops which is an attraction in itself.
Sunset Stampede at Mystic Falls
Located in Sam's Town, Sunset Stampede is a spectacular laser light and water show in Mystic Falls Park. Mystic Falls Park is like a walk in the woods, except the wolves and bears here are completely harmless. In addition to the 8-minute show, it includes lots of greenery and streams. Shows take place Monday to Thursday at 6 p.m., 8 p.m., 10 p.m.; Friday to Sunday 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m., 10 p.m.
Car Shows every Saturday
Every Saturday morning from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. there is a free car show. There you can observe classic cars from different eras and chat with the vehicle owners or other enthusiasts.
FREE THINGS TO DO ONE HOUR FROM LAS VEGAS
Seven Magic Mountains
Seven Magic Mountains is a work by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. Comprised of seven towers of colorful stacked boulders, measuring over 30 feet (9 m) high, Seven Magic Mountains is a creative expression of human presence in the desert. The exhibition opened on May 11, 2016 and was initially planned to be on view for two years. Due to the incredible success of Seven Magic Mountains since its opening, artist Ugo Rondinone expressed a strong desire to explore ways to preserve the artwork at its current location.
Ethel M Botanical Cactus Garden
Ethel M Botanical Cactus Garden, is a cactus botanical garden located at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory in Henderson, Nevada. The garden is open to the public free of charge (paying in the evening during Christmas lights). You can then go to the chocolate shop where you can watch the workers prepare the chocolate.
Howard W. Cannon Aviation Museum
The unique thing about this museum is that it is located in the middle of the Las Vegas International Airport. It is free and can be visited every day at any time. You'll learn about the history of aviation in Southern Nevada.
You'll see the plane that set the world endurance flight record in 1959 and a red 1956 Ford Thunderbird restored to match the original. Visiting the museum will teach you more about the history of this car and its connection with the airport.
Nevada State Railroad Museum
Visit the museum for free. These are essentially old trains on the platform, you can visit the interior of some of them (old postal wagon, luxury travel train). There is also a miniature train.
In addition, every Saturday and Sunday you can board a train for a journey of approximately 45 minutes between Boulder City and Railroad Pass (Return) for $10 per adult and $5 for children.
