This sport originated in Bavaria, Germany, and is a popular feature of Oktoberfest Las Vegas. It is a test of strength and endurance in which participants must hold a full one-liter beer mug with their arm outstretched for as long as possible without spilling or dropping it. The objective is to maintain a straight arm and a straight posture, with the shoulder working. Competitors are disqualified if they spill beer or bend their elbow.

Oktoberfest Las Vegas: DACHSHUND DERBY

During Oktoberfest Las Vegas, the Dachshund Derby is a dog race where dachshunds compete to see which dog can run the shortest distance the fastest. The event begins at noon with a dog parade and a costume contest.

Oktoberfest Las Vegas: KEG BOWLING

Free day and night.

Keg Bowling is a game where participants roll a keg down a lane to knock over a stack of other kegs at the end. Similar to traditional bowling, but with a beer keg instead of a ball. It's a fun, sometimes brutal event that showcases strength and precision.

Oktoberfest Las Vegas: NAGELSPIEL

Free day and night.

Nagelspiel is a traditional German Oktoberfest game where players compete to be the first to drive a nail into a log or stump. Using the thin tip of a cross-pein hammer, players take turns making one blow at a time, trying to drive their nail completely below the surface of the wood.
